IT Balloon Motion Graphic

This project was made for RTA 103 (Motion Graphics)

and is a title sequence for the film and book "IT". The

red balloon represents the antagonist, Pennywise and

the sequence follows the balloon, moving from the sewer

to the houses to build suspense and curiosity.

My creative problem was to create an engaging and

atmospheric title sequence using original assets.

Another problem I had was creating believable rain.

I approached this project by designing vector-based

graphics in Adobe Illustrator and then composing

them in Adobe After Effects. The sequence uses

lighting and sound effects such as rain and thunder,

to create tension and progression. For the rain I used

"CC Rainfall" and changed the angle and intensity to

mactch the mood of the scene.
